One of the most common ways of cleaning pipes is a technique known as hydro-jetting or sewer jetting. This process involves the application of streams of high-pressured water for use within pipes. Hydro-jetting clean the pipes and removes debris within. In fact, when water is applied at the right pressure, we can cut roots, dissolve blockages, emulsify soaps and grease. The water from the nozzle will also wash away dirt and debris that has accumulated at the bottom of the pipe.
How Does Hydro-Jetting Work?
With the hydro-jetting process, a special nozzle is attached to the end of a hose with the other end connected to a high-pressure water pump. The nozzles have jets that restrict water flow from the pump that causes high pressure to build up within the hose. As pressurized water is expelled from the nozzle, it creates a thrust and is released by one of our operator who controls the speed and distance of the nozzle up the pipe.
Uses of High-Pressure Hydro-Jetting
Hydro-Jetting can be utilized in many different ways. At Swell, we use hydro-jetting for cleaning mainline sewers, laterals, drains, and storm drains among other purposes. Our highly-trained team considers every possibility and always chooses the right solution for every plumbing issue.
